I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma when I was just 16 years old. I was terrified, extremely sick, and originally had a bout a 5% chance of survival. But thanks to excellent treatment, the love of friends and family, and by the grace of God I am still here today.

 

In 2011, #BurnItDown was born because I wanted to celebrate my 10 years of being cancer free by giving back. So many people helped me through my cancer journey—now it was time to do the same for others. 

 

And now #BurnItDown is BACK! On September 15th, #BurnItDown 2023 will take place at Rock & Roll Pizza in Simi Valley, raising money for the Marcelle Erian Cancer Foundation. The MECF is a non-profit founded by my oncologist, Dr. Hany Khalil, dedicated to helping cancer patients in their families.
